Park/Gazebo/Playground Permits

A park permit is required for gatherings of 12 or more. Fees vary by permit application type. There are additional fees for additional services on a per case basis. If an outside vendor will be at the event, an additional permit and a certificate of insurance are required.

Tennis and Pickleball Lessons

Instructors are required to purchase a permit if they wish to teach private/semi-private lessons on Park District tennis/pickleball courts. Instruction is limited to 3 or fewer students per class. The permit is $250 for the season and instructors must provide an approved Certificate of Insurance. Court reservations are required to guarantee court time.

Fitness Classes

A permit is required to run a fitness class on Glencoe Park District property, which includes all Glencoe parks and Glencoe Beach. To apply for a permit, please contact Adam Wohl (847-835-7545).

  • One time fitness classes will follow our regular park permit process for park usage, regardless of group size.
  • An annual permit can be purchased with a class schedule for groups of 3 or fewer.
  • Classes with 4 or more students will not be permitted or must become a Park District class. 

Sports Fields and Courts

Permits must be secured for any organized group wishing to conduct a practice or game on a soccer field, baseball field, or basketball court. For the purposes of this policy, organized is defined as any group affiliated with any organization, having a formal structure, or coordinating widespread activities. A permit is also required if an outside vendor will be on-site for event. There are additional fees for additional services on a per case basis. A Certificate of Insurance is required if the activity includes a paid instructor or company providing a service.

Private and Semi-Private Training (Parks/Glencoe Beach)
