With District 35’s announcement for hybrid learning beginning the 2020-21 school year, the Glencoe Park District created a recreation-based enrichment camp, while facilitating self-directed learners. This program will offer half-day sessions, with options to bridge between Kids Club AM, District 35 in-person learning, and Kids Club PM. This program will run five days a week. Full-day care will be available if District 35 goes fully remote.

After a busy day at school, it’s great to snack and chat with friends, finish homework, and stretch muscles on the playground. After-Schoolers cook healthy snacks, play organized games, and embark on learning adventures at Watts Center. Included in your monthly Kids Club fee, we will transport participants to and from after school enrichments at West School and the Takiff Center.

Improve your volleyball skills with 90 minutes of drills in setting, passing, overhand serving, and spiking. The lesson plan incorporates leadership and educational components and uses individual training, pairing drills, and game situation development to help each student reach a new level. The youth dodgeball class gives participants an opportunity to play the popular game in a safe and supervised environment. The program uses super soft balls with the safety of game play being an important factor. Each week, different teams are formed and a different style of dodgeball are played. Have fun creating sculptures with Model Magic, an air-drying, non-staining, easy-to- manipulate material! Our instructor will guide children with step-by-step instructions to make their own sculptures, with a new theme each week. Red, blue, yellow, white, and black colors will be provided. The instructor will demonstrate how to mix them to create a full range of shades. No class: February 12, 26.
