Potential Dog Park Sites Discussed

The Glencoe Park District Committee of the Whole met on May 7, 2019 to discuss the feasibility of a Dog Park in Glencoe, as well as possible locations. The Committee then set other site selection criteria for a dog park site. Finally, the Board directed staff to form a community task force made of residents that are for and against a dog park to further evaluate sites. The Board will accept applications until May 31, 2019, and will then choose the members.

More activities, events, and fireworks!

In addition to your Fourth of July favorites like the Rotary Fun Run and Glencoe’s Got Talent, new this year, we are expanding the Parade route so that participants and on-lookers alike end at Lakefront Park. Once there, the Party in the Park will start right away, with beer and wine sales, live music, food trucks, bounce houses, a dunk tank, contests and more. The evening will round out with a performance by the Blooze Brothers followed by a special fireworks show!
