On October 10, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) Board of Directors and the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Committee approved the FFY 2020-2022 locally programmed Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP-L). The program included $667,150 in grant funding for Connect Glencoe. The Glencoe Park District will use funds towards connect five separate parks with a meandering path that takes walkers, runners, and bikers through an urban garden of mature trees. The trail will connect users to various gardens, activity amenities, a new playground, an interactive water feature, a sculpture, as well as downtown businesses, the lakefront, and the train station.
