Glencoe Beach 

Right in your own backyard is Lake Michigan's most beautiful spot on the North Shore, Glencoe Beach.  The beach is ideal for group and family outings, work picnics, or summer camp groups!  Lifeguards are on duty daily during beach season. Northbrook & Highland Park Aquatics Agreement

Splash Into Northbrook and Highland Park This Summer! Aquatic Services at Resident Rates

The Glencoe, Highland Park and Northbrook Park Districts are offering residents an opportunity to use aquatic services in 2014! Glencoe Park District residents providing proof of residency (valid Illinois identification card with Glencoe address) will receive Northbrook and Highland Park resident rates on the following services:

  • Summer Pool Passes at Northbrook Sports Center, Meadowhill Aquatic Center in Northbrook, and Hidden Creek AquaPark in Highland Park. 
  • Member rates on any aquatics lessons, water fitness classes, programs and/or classes (with purchase of season pass) at the Northbrook Park District.

To receive the Northbrook or Highland Park resident rates, Glencoe Park District residents must register in person at:

Trellis Rental

The Trellis may be rented May 31-September 15.  Reservations are now being accepted; to make a reservation, call (847) 835-1185.




Reservation available 5-10 PM, 7 days a week.

Optional: Grill rental fee ($75), Courtesy Cart ($25), Alcohol Liability Insurance ($175)

Sun Shelter Picnic Spots 

Available Daily: 10 AM-1 PM, 1:30-4:30 PM, 5-8 PM 

To ensure a Sun Shelter reservation, please call at least seven days in advance. Sun shelter rental does not include daily beach entrance fees. Alcohol is not allowed in sun shelters. Memorial Day (May 26) & Labor Day (September 1): Sun Shelter Rentals available to Glencoe Residents ONLY (a photo ID is required).

  • Alcohol liability insurance ($175/day) is required for ALL rentals serving alcoholic beverages and must be arranged seven days prior to the rental! Alcohol is only allowed in Trellis. 
  • All advance reservations must be paid for at the time of booking. Temporary holds are not accepted for any rental. In the event of severe weather (thunderstorms or lightning), a full refund will be issued toward another date depending on availability.
  • Sun Shelters only: Advanced reservation privileges available up to 60 days in advance for residents and 45 days for non-residents. 
Memorial Day and Labor Day Holiday Sun Shelter Rentals are available to Glencoe Residents only with photo ID.
