We have six kayaks ready and waiting for you! One- and two-person kayaks are available to rent on an hourly basis. Renters are required to pass a proficiency test prior to their first rental of the season, and life jackets must be worn at all times. Youth ages 6-15 must be accompanied by an adult while using the kayak. No children under age 5 are allowed on rental crafts.

Rental Fee

Weekdays $20/hour

Weekends $25/hour or $40 for a maximum of three hours

Four sun shelters picnic spots with two picnic tables hold up to 12 people and are bookable in the three time periods below. Reservations made within 7 days by residents and token holders are free for the first reservation. Each additional time slot is $15. Reservations made by non-residents within 7 days of reservation are $30 per time slot. Advanced reserva­tion privileges are available for residents up to 60 days in advance and 45 days for non-residents.

New this Year! Sun Shelter 5 is available for rent and holds 4 picnic tables accommodating 24 people. This shelter is bookable in the time periods below. Advanced reservation privileges are available for residents up to 60 days in advance and 45 days for non-residents.

Sun Shelter 5 Availability: 10 am-1 pm, 1:30-4:40 pm, 5-8 pm 

Advance Reservation Fee: $50 R/$100 NR

Temporary holds are not accepted and cancellations may only be made in the event of severe weather such as thunder storms or lightning. A full refund or credit will be issued toward another date depending on availability. Holiday Sun Shelter Rentals are available to Glencoe Residents only with photo ID. Holidays include May 30, July 4, and September 5, 2011.
